Just encountered another bad taxi driver who refuses to stop to pick us up. Instead, he circles around IBP waiting for someone to make a phone booking. There's got to be a reason why you can spend a long time unsuccessfully waiting for a cab, but one can turn up in 5 mins or less the moment you make a phone booking.
Today's cabbie to make it to the Hall of Shame is Comfort's SHB1884Z. Shame on you!

Bad Taxi Drivers
I've decided to start this as I am getting very frustrated by the bad taxi drivers in Singapore. Although they keep complaining that times are bad and money is hard to come by, I think it's their very own fault that they brought themselves into this situation. I believe that if they are willing to work hard, there is no lack of "business " in Singapore. Unfortunately, the taxi associations just have to entice their errant taxi drivers with even more incentives in the form of surcharges.
So, the first taxi with the honour to be the first in my list is a Transcab SHB7519U. This bloke would rather spend his time cruising around International Business Park rather than to earn $8.60 sending 3 of us (2 colleagues and myself) to our destinations, all along the way, ending at Jurong Point. B had to sarcastically ask him, "Too near for you?" in which he replied that he don't want to go "up there".
Bad business? You decide. If you are a cabbie and you don't want to pick up passengers, please quit your job and do something else. Don't drive an empty cab around and wait for people to give you the taxi-booking surcharge and continue to harm the environment cruising around in am empty cab. There ARE many passengers around, GO LOOK FOR THEM. Don't complain that times are bad if you are unwilling to work.
Enough ranting. Here's the list. Feel free to contribute more such errant cabbies. Drop a note in the comments and I'll update accordingly.
